Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Google Cloud Specialist with expertise in engineering and migrations to function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in leading complex, large‐scale project migrations between Google Cloud tenants (Organization‐to‐Organization). This role demands deep technical proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically across networking, IAM, project architecture, and established migration methodologies. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands‐on execution to design and implement secure, compliant, and highly scalable cloud environments.
Required Skills & Experience
* 7+ years total in data engineering; 4+ years on GCP with production systems.
* Led end‐to‐end delivery of large‐scale pipelines (batch + streaming) with strict PII governance.
* Owned performance/cost optimisation initiatives in BigQuery/Dataflow at scale.
* Implemented CI/CD for data workflows (Secure Source Manager) including automated tests and environment promotion.
* Drove operational excellence (SLAs, incident management, RTO/RPO awareness, DR patterns).
* Proven experience in Cloud Engineering and Migration.
* Strong hands‐on experience with: Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Demonstrated strong experience in driving automation and process improvement initiatives.
* Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and logging.
* Excellent customer‐facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to translate business and operational challenges into technical solutions.
* Soft skills: Technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, clear documentation, cross‐functional collaboration with Network/Analytics teams, and a bias for automation & reliability.
