Focus of the Role
As a Warehouse Technician within the Field Services Equipment Staging team, you will be responsible for efficiently handling inbounding, capturing details, storing, and shipping equipment in our Kemps Creek warehouse. Your role involves participating in all warehouse operations, including picking and packing, while maintaining a safe and organized environment. You will collaborate with internal teams and work with various telecommunications equipment to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
About the Role
This is a 24-month fixed-term contract. You will join a team of technicians working on multiple projects, assisting them to meet Service Level Agreements.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
* Store and organize equipment accurately
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
* Create consignments as per customer requirements
* Assist with inventory management and auditing
* Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
* Maintain a clean and organized workplace
* Follow all safety procedures and regulations in line with Telstra
* Assist with other duties as assigned
* Handle stock and rotation
* Basic computer literacy (e.g., Excel)
Qualifications
* Ability to work onsite in Kemps Creek
* High-level customer service skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and communication (written and verbal)
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
* Proven ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines
* Ability to lift 15 kg
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Ability to gain a National Defence Clearance
* High Risk Work Licence - On-Pavement Forklift
* Basic warehouse experience
* Ability to conduct medical and police checks
