Contribute to invasive species fieldwork and provide expert advice to support effective delivery of invasive species management programs in Tasmania.
About the role
As an Invasive Species Biologist with Biosecurity Tasmania, you’ll play a vital role in protecting Tasmania’s unique environment and agricultural sector. This position combines scientific expertise with rugged fieldwork, requiring you to contribute to invasive species management and control programs in some of the state’s most remote and uninhabited areas. You’ll provide technical advice, manage data and projects, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective biosecurity outcomes.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment
12 months.
- A degree in science relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university.
- Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
