Engineering (Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth)

Helping build tomorrow's bank—today.

We're exploring emerging technologies, imagining products that don't yet exist, and reinventing the way we serve our customers.

Our 12‐month Engineering Graduate Program offers two dynamic rotations, beginning with a structured onboarding experience and three‐week technical Engineering Bootcamp designed to set you up for success from day one.

As part of the team powering Australia's number‐one banking app, you'll help deliver innovative features like Cardless Cash, Spend Tracker, Benefits Finder and StepPay. The opportunities for our tech graduates continue to grow, with pathways across Data Engineering (ML/AI), Software Engineering (Web, Mobile, Full‐Stack), Site Reliability Engineering, and Cyber Security.

At the end of the program, you'll roll off into a permanent role as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Security Engineer – equipped with the skills, experience, and networks to launch your career.

Data Science & AI (Sydney & Melbourne)

We're the frontline in the AI revolution. You'll lead the way and support in driving innovative, data‐led solutions and design personalised experiences for our customers using the power of AI.

Our 12 to18 month Data Science & AI Program offers two to three rotations, plus an 8‐week structured onboarding program that combines a foundational bootcamp, workshops and a modelling project to help set you up for a successful start.

You'll use data to build and enhance quantitative and predictive models, large language models and chatbots and gain exposure in Decision Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gen Ai & machine learning (ML), Data Engineering, and more via structured rotations.

You'll enhance your technical capability using analytical tools such as Python, AWS and Teradata, alongside vast datasets to develop and deliver actionable insights that shape the future of the business.

After the program you can roll off the program as a Data Scientist.

Cyber Security (Sydney, Melbourne & Perth), including Security Engineering (Sydney & Melbourne)

We're home to one of the largest and most advanced Cyber Security teams in the Southern Hemisphere, tackling some of the most complex security challenges in the country. As part of our team, you'll help create a cyber‐secure organisation that protects our people and customers for generations to come.

Our 12‐to‐18‐month Cyber Security Graduate Program offers flexibility through two to three agile rotations, depending on the pathway you choose. Your journey begins with a three‐week structured onboarding experience and bespoke bootcamp, designed to equip you with the technical skills you need and set you up for success from day one.

You'll gain hands‐on experience across a broad range of cyber disciplines — including Penetration Testing, Cyber Intelligence, Cyber Defence & Incident Response, Application Security, Detection Engineering, Security Engineering, and more. From detecting and responding to attacks and data breaches, to assessing vulnerabilities, supporting regulatory uplifts, and helping build secure customer products, you'll play a critical role in future‐proofing security for Australia's leading online bank.

At the end of the program, you'll roll off into a permanent role aligned to your strengths — whether as a Security Engineer, Cyber Analyst/Generalist, or in Cyber Attack & Defence.
