About the role
Select Plant Hire operates as part of the Laing O'Rourke Group and has one of the industry's largest and most diverse ranges of equipment, accommodation and tools to deliver on every type of construction project.
We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our NSW/QLD Regional team at Select, based at our regional office located in Seven Hills, NSW. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor, and an international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities
1. Support the regional manager commercially in the region to meet P&L targets, and meeting periodic
2. Ensure engagement with customers and a focus regarding services provided by Select and working with customers to strategize project requirements.
3. Implement cost control mechanisms to ensure cost efficiency in the region.
4. Ensuring commercial governance is communicated and maintained.
5. Provide support and leadership to administration and project support team.
About you
6. A construction management, building, engineering degree or equivalent coupled with 10+years post graduate experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
7. Ideally have obtained or be working towards MRICS.
8. You will also possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration.
9. Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.
