Mercure Melbourne La Trobe Street is a brand-new 4-star hotel joining the Accor network. Located in the heart of West Melbourne, near Flagstaff Gardens, Queen Victoria Market, Docklands and Marvel Stadium, this exciting new property offers modern design, generous spaces, and a strong focus on guest experience.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Night Auditor to support the hotel through its pre-opening phase and ongoing overnight operations.
About the Role
As Night Auditor, you will be responsible for the smooth overnight running of the hotel. You will manage overnight reception duties, complete night audit processes, and act as the main point of contact for guests during night hours.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who works well independently, enjoys overnight operations, and takes pride in accuracy and guest service.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete night audit procedures accurately and in line with brand standards
* Balance daily transactions and reconcile accounts
* Prepare overnight financial and operational reports
* Manage overnight guest check-ins, check-outs, billing, and enquiries
* Act as the first point of contact for guest issues and escalations overnight
* Monitor hotel security and follow safety and emergency procedures
* Support the setup and refinement of overnight systems and procedures during pre-opening
* Communicate effectively with Front Office and hotel leadership teams
About You
* Previous experience as a Night Auditor in a hotel environment
* Pre-opening hotel experience (highly desirable)
* Experience using Opera Cloud PMS
* Knowledge of Accor systems and standards (desirable)
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
* Confident working independently overnight
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Pay: From $26.70 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 25 per week
