At Family Centered Support Services, we provide a range of services to children, young people, and families, including respite care, in-home support, and residential out-of-home care. About The Role
This is a full-time opportunity, based in Sthanthorpe.
As a valued member of the Finance and Administration Team, you will work closely with the Finance and Administration Manager and the Chief of Finance and Human Resources to support the day‑to‑day running of financial operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the fortnightly payroll, along with weekly and monthly invoices. You will ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, internal procedures, and organisational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Process end‑to‑end payroll on a fortnightly basisRespond to internal and external stakeholder enquiries promptly and professionallyPrepare end‑of‑month and end‑of‑financial‑year payroll reportsInterpret awards and EBAs (SCHADS Award + relevant agreements)Calculate leave entitlements, salary variances, and maintain employee recordsManage leave balances, accruals, and paymentsAdminister payroll functions relating to WorkCoverSet up new starters and process termination paymentsCommunicate payroll concerns or anomalies to the Finance and Administration Manager prior to processingProvide general administrative support as required

About You
You thrive in a fast‑paced and diverse environment and are confident using payroll systems and interpreting awards, EBAs, and relevant legislation. You’re known for your strong attention to detail, reliability, and approachable nature. You enjoy supporting your colleagues and take pride in delivering accurate, efficient payroll support.
You Will Need
Certificate IV in Payroll, Bookkeeping, Business, or equivalent — or willingness to undertake further studyPrevious experience in a Payroll and/or Finance Administration roleKnowledge of Humanforce HR/Elmo (HRIS), Xero, and other payroll/HR systems (highly regarded)Familiarity with the SCHADS Award or experience applying other modern awardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational, documentation, and reporting abilitiesHigh-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with rostering systems (highly desirable)

Ability to provide two recent professional references (post‑interview)Current Australian Driver Licence (Open or P2)Licensed Care Service (LCS) check or willingness to obtain (supported by us)Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain
