About the Role
The Bar Team Leader is responsible for leading and supervising a team of food and beverage associates to ensure smooth and efficient outlet operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service, managing staff performance, and contributing to the overall success of the outlet.
* Supervision and support of the Food and Beverage employees, ensuring exceptional and efficient service is delivered.
* Deliver on-the-job training and regular briefings to team members to enhance product knowledge, upselling techniques, and customer engagement.
* Collaborate with the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to contribute ideas for new cocktails, themed menus, and signature offerings.
* Assist in ordering, receiving, and managing bar inventory; conduct regular and accurate stock takes.
* Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and their needs are met promptly.
* Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns with professionalism.
* Assist in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
* Attend to stocktake and transfers of stocks to other departments. Ensure requisitions are collected and stored correctly.
Qualifications
* Previous Food & Beverage experience in hotel environment or similar fast-paced environment
* A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills
* The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5 star grooming standards
* The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
* Experience and thorough understanding of beverage service
* Mixologist / cocktail bar background
* Strong wine knowledge
