About the role
To perform this role, it is essential that the incumbent is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
MATSICHS Transport Officers play an important role in our overall customer service delivery within our MATSICHS clinic. Within this role, you will be required to provide professional, courteous, and safe transportation and medical courier services for IUIH and IUIH client. We have multiple permanent and casual opportunities available across various clinic locations.
Within this role, you will be required to:
* Provide clients with respectful and courteous transport services.
* Timely pick up and transporting of clients from and to home, as well as in line with client requirements, i.e. other medical and health appointments, as scheduled.
* Ad hoc pick up of clients as requested
* Maintain a log/record of all journeys/pick ups
* Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and working in collaboration with the Office Manager to ensure maintenance of vehicles and reporting of any damage to vehicles.
About you
* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
* Current Criminal History Check
* Current Working with Children Check - Blue Card (Prior to Commencement)
* Current Disability Workers Screening Check – Yellow Card (Prior to commencement)
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Desirable, but not mandatory:
* Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities.
