We're now seeking a Café & Functions Chef to join our village hospitality team.
Your Opportunity
This is a hands‐on role delivering high‐quality food across both café service and village functions. You'll support the Head Chef and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations.
You'll balance prep, service and coordination while contributing to menu planning and maintaining a strong customer experience.
In This Role, You Will
* Prepare and deliver café meals and function catering to a high standard
* Support daily kitchen operations, service flow and food preparation
* Assist with menu development and specials
* Manage ordering of ingredients, stock and supplies
* Support supervision and training of kitchen staff
* Assist with coordination and delivery of functions and events
* Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
* Contribute to efficient, well‐organised kitchen operations
What You'll Bring
* Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* 4+ years' experience in café, restaurant or function environments
* Experience preparing food in a high‐volume or multi‐service kitchen
* Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations
* Ability to work collaboratively and support team performance
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and RSA
Experience in aged care, community or events catering is highly regarded.
