The Role
Our Malanda dairy site located in tropical North Queensland, manufactures and distributes a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 40 farms within minutes from the factory. The site currently produces around 40 million litres of product every year!
We are looking for a new Manufacturing Manager to join the team in Malanda. In this pivotal role, you will be influential to set the future direction for the site and inspire and engage teams to deliver the operational plan. You will lead all site areas to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, operational, environmental and production metrics whilst contributing strategically by partnering, leading, and influencing key stakeholders.
This role works Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times based on site and business needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead the team to ensure our products are manufactured safely, in full and with high quality.
* Lead and monitor safe work practices through your teams, including the wearing of appropriate PPE, identifying safety issues, action close outs & ensure sufficient training of team members.
* Managing complexities using problem solving skills – root cause analysis, process improvement and corrective action.
* Completing scheduled Continuous Improvement activities that are specified in the BEX broad plan.
* Ensure compliance to food safety, environmental and good manufacturing practices are followed.
About you
* Previous leadership experience in FMCG, Food manufacturing or Dairy ideal, but other industries will be considered.
* Proven experience influencing team members and ensuring targets are met.
* Excellent problem-solving skill and coaching skills.
* Continuous improvement mindset and in-depth knowledge of process improvement techniques.
* Solid Microsoft office experience and being computer savvy.
* Experience with SAP preferrable.
