Position Overview Bakers Delight Bundoora is seeking a skilled and dedicated Baker to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, baking, and presentation of a wide range of breads and bakery products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and workplace hygiene. Key Duties and Responsibilities Preparing, mixing, and baking a variety of breads and bakery products including loaves, rolls, specialty breads, and artisan items according to Bakers Delight recipes and production schedules Measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients such as flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and improvers to achieve consistent product quality Operating and monitoring baking equipment including mixers, dividers, moulders, provers, and ovens Assessing dough quality, fermentation, and baking conditions, and making adjustments as required Decorating, glazing, and finishing baked goods to meet brand and presentation standards Ensuring all products meet quality control, taste, texture, and appearance requirements Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Food Safety regulations Monitoring stock levels of ingredients and assisting with ordering and stock rotation Minimising waste and following correct handling and storage procedures Working early morning shifts and meeting daily production targets Assisting with training and mentoring junior staff when required Complying with workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery or retail baking environment Strong knowledge of bread production processes, fermentation, and baking techniques Ability to operate bakery machinery safely and efficiently Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace safety practices Good time management skills and ability to work under production deadlines Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks associated with baking operations Qualifications Relevant qualification in Baking, Bread Making, or Patisserie (Certificate III or equivalent), or Minimum of relevant industry experience demonstrating competency in baking operations Benefits Stable full-time employment Supportive team environment Ongoing training and skill development Opportunity to grow within a well-established and reputable bakery brand How to Apply If you wish to apply for this position, please submit your updated resume outlining your relevant skills and experience.
