Maintenance & Grounds OfficerWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities through proactive maintenance and repair work.Location: Orana Aged Care, Kingaroy - QLDPermanent Part-Time Position (30 hrs fortnight)Hours: 4 days per week 30 hrs per fortnight (flexible)
About The Role:In this hands-on role, you'll manage the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well-kept.Key responsibilities include:
General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areasPerforming scheduled preventative maintenance and external cleaningIdentifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones.Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.Managing external contractors and minor building projectsUsing equipment and materials safely and responsiblyYour work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.Gardening experience essential; aged care experience desirable
About You:
Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedulesA team player with a proactive attitude, proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus.Valid Police Check and Queensland Driver's Licence
