Job Title: Support Specialist
As a Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our clients by ensuring they have the opportunity and support to explore and participate in all aspects of their life. Our support services focus on empowering individuals with disability to live a rewarding life that focuses on their interests, choices, and rights every day.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Specialist who will be responsible for performing daily household tasks with participants, including menu planning, cooking, serving meals, cleaning, shopping, laundry, bed making, and light garden activities.
You will also assist participants to maintain relationships with family, friends, and advocates, as well as help them develop and maintain personal independence within their home with personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, showering, and safe and enjoyable mealtimes.
Furthermore, you will provide support to participants in their personal and health care, including assistance with medication, seizure response, and health needs.
