We are seeking a passionate and skilled Woodfire Pizza Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience with traditional woodfire ovens, dough preparation, and hand-stretching techniques. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality pizzas with consistency, speed, and flair.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and manage a traditional woodfire oven with confidence and efficiency.
* Prepare fresh dough daily, including mixing, proofing, portioning, and hand-stretching.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Monitor and control cooking times/temperatures to ensure perfect pizzas every time.
* Manage stock levels, ingredients, and mise en place for pizza service.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety standards.
* Work closely with the kitchen team and FOH staff to ensure smooth service.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' proven experience as a Pizza Chef in a woodfire kitchen.
* Strong knowledge and skill in dough-making and hand-stretching techniques.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
* Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
* Availability to work full-time evening shifts and weekends .
Preferred Qualities
* Creativity in developing pizza specials and new menu items.
* Passion for authentic Italian cooking methods and flavours.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Availability
* Full-time and Part-time role available with evening shifts required (including weekends).
