Sales Representative Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a sales representative to sell products and services to customers in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling units (MDU) areas/properties with 20+ doors through door-to-door solicitation, lobby events, and by building strong relationships with property managers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support customer experience initiatives.
* Meet monthly sales goals and increase sales volume through assigned leads and properties.
* Solicit residential customers through door-to-door visits, lobby events, and relationship-building with property management.
* Add new/additional services to existing customers to generate incremental revenue.
* Respond to customer complaints according to company policy.
* Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform manager of changing competitive pricing or marketing directions.
* Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
* Complete necessary paperwork for sales activities, including dispositions, sales orders, and sales reporting.
* Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to company policy.
Required Qualifications:
* Cold call sales skills, persuasion, and clear communication skills.
* Ability to travel and work outside in any season.
* Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer communications devices.
* Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
0-6 months in sales or customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of communications technologies and services.
* Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
* Experience with consumer education of products and services.
* Sales experience, prospecting, or cold calling.
Working Conditions:
* Spends 80% of time in outside environment for extended periods in any season.
* Lifts 10-20 pounds for 20-30 feet.
* Exposure to moderate noise levels.
* Works evenings and weekends.
