Job Summary:
The Principal Legal Officer position is a senior role within the Commercial Law Section that requires expertise in legal matters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of lawyers, setting goals and driving performance through effective performance management. They will also delegate work appropriately and measure performance, collaborate with other PLOs to manage workflow and contribute to team meetings, as well as work closely with Senior Executive Service (SES) members.
* Key responsibilities include supervising lawyers, providing second counselling, managing complex or sensitive matters, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
* Effective communication and subject matter knowledge are essential for engaging stakeholders and delivering exceptional customer service.
