This is a pivotal new role designed to lift ERF's brand, diversify and grow revenue, and bring greater coherence, creativity and capability to all fundraising, marketing and engagement activity.
The Fundraising & Marketing Director will build a contemporary, donor‑centred and data‑informed fundraising engine that supports ERF to achieve its strategic fundraising goals while telling powerful stories that honour our partners and bring supporters closer to our mission. This role will champion a more integrated and proactive approach to fundraising, donor care, school engagement, marketing and communications and will be a senior leader shaping the next era of ERF's growth and visibility.
This role is based in our Brisbane North office (preferred). Flexible work conditions are available (including regular work from home and the potential of part time or flexible hours to suit your personal circumstances.)

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and evolve our fundraising strategy to grow revenue across individual giving, regular giving, major donors, bequests, digital, corporate partnerships, events, campaigns and school engagement
* Build a robust and sustainable revenue pipeline that supports organisational priorities, including the expansion of programs and the new youth social justice initiative
* Lead the design and delivery of campaigns to engage and educate our school partners including new digital fundraising initiatives
* Grow and steward a portfolio of major donors, philanthropic partners, Private and Public Ancillary Funds, Grants and senior supporters
* Strengthen donor care, stewardship and reporting so supporters feel informed, valued and inspired
Marketing and Brand
* Elevate ERF's brand presence, narrative and digital footprint across channels
* Enhance our storytelling that amplifies the voices of our partners, program participants and supporters
* Oversee development of high‑quality content across print, digital, social, video and events
* Develop key messages that support advocacy, fundraising, education and public engagement
* Shape ERF's voice so it resonates with both long‑standing supporters and younger emerging audiences
Schools Engagement
* Strengthen ERF's relationship with the Edmund Rice Education Australia network and grow engagement across independent and Catholic schools
* Lead the scaling of ERF's youth initiatives and experiential learning programs
* Partner with teachers and school leaders to ensure offerings are curriculum‑aligned, easy to implement and meaningful
Team and Internal Leadership
* Lead and mentor a small national team including Marketing and Communications, Donor Relations, Schools Engagement and contractor partners
* Promote cross‑functional collaboration between programs, operations and fundraising
* Contribute proactively to ERF's senior leadership discussions, organisational culture and strategic development
* Manage the forecasting and budgeting of fundraising revenues and of departmental expenditure, including providing commentary on variances, trends, risks and opportunities.
* Champion the use of data, CRM insights and evaluation to refine performance and decision making
Capabilities and Experience
* Significant fundraising leadership experience in the NFP or international development sector with a strong track record of revenue growth
* Deep experience across multiple fundraising channels including individual giving, major gifts and digital
* Strong marketing and communications capability including brand, campaigns and digital engagement
* Ability to craft compelling narratives that connect donors with impact
* Experience partnering with schools, faith‑based communities or education networks is highly regarded
* Comfortable working in a small, agile organisation where hands‑on work is valued
* Proven people leadership skills and ability to empower a high‑performing team
* Strategic thinker with excellent planning, relationship building and stakeholder skills
