Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all safety inductions and procedures are completed prior to undertaking any tasks. You will mark out/off structural fabrication and shapes according to specifications, prepare material for bending, drilling, or machining after dressing by the steelyard, assemble and weld parts according to technical engineering drawings and route sheets, repair, replace, modify, and fabricate using appropriate tools and welding techniques, perform appropriate welding to carry out the job, operate hand tools and power tools appropriate to the job, draw and interpret sketches appropriate to the job, operate forklift/crane when required to shift and load equipment, assist in the provision of on-the-job training when required, dismantle, replace, and assemble engineering components during general fabrication activities, conduct QA/QC inspections at 3rd party vendors, ensuring all repairs/project works meet Metso standards, liaising with engineering and product support as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Trade Certificate in Boilermaking.
* Ability to work in confined spaces.
* Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
* Strong attention to detail.
