The Area Manager Cleaning is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving excellence in cleaning operations across multiple regions in Australia. This role demands a proactive leader who leads by example directly engaging with cleaning team members, supervisors, and contractors to ensure impeccable service delivery and strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The Area Manager is entrusted with operational management, hands-on training, onboarding, equipment oversight, client relationship management, and sales promotion. They ensure that all cleaning services are delivered to the highest standard while also promoting Just Focus's value-added offerings to grow business revenue. Key Responsibilities

Operational Management & Service Delivery

· Manage the scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of cleaning tasks across all assigned regions.

· Oversee service delivery to ensure compliance with SLA requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

· Site Audits & Emergency Response:

· Lead and participate in regular site audits and inspections to verify the quality of work.

· Respond promptly to site emergencies and service incidents, coordinating with teams for immediate corrective actions.

· Shift & Work Schedule Management

· Organise work shifts and coordinate periodic tasks to ensure timely service delivery.

· Adapt schedules and work flexibly based on service requirements, aligning with the reporting manager to cover all duties outside of regular business hours.

Team Leadership, Training & Onboarding

· Lead by example, actively working alongside cleaning teams to demonstrate best practices in service delivery.

· Training & Skill Enhancement

· Deliver practical training sessions on cleaning techniques and the correct use of cleaning gear.

· Promote ongoing learning and ensure team members are up-to-date on specialist service training.

· Manage the onboarding process for all new cleaning team members and contractors including initiating the process by sending onboarding link, requesting documentation and ensuring all required documents are submitted to HR within stated timeframes.

· It is the area managers responsibility to ensure all workers are complaint and fully onboarded prior to starting on site for training and induction.

· Follow up on key onboarding paperwork with team members in a timely manner and provide updates to HR and management.

Client Relationship Management & Sales Promotion

· Cultivate and manage relationships with clients at various levels, ensuring their needs are met and that service quality remains consistent.

· Organise regular site visits and client meetings to gather feedback, resolve issues and adjust service delivery as needed.

· Actively promote Just Focus's array of services to current and potential clients, identifying opportunities to upsell and increase revenue.

· Source opportunities for ad hoc and regular work by keeping a close on site-based requirements, highlighting areas that are hazardous, unsafe or reduce the value of clients properties.

· Management of Cleaning Equipment:

· Oversee the allocation, distribution, and maintenance of all cleaning equipment assigned to sites.

· Train staff on the proper and efficient use of various cleaning tools and gear.

· Stay current with emerging cleaning technologies and specialist services, integrating new techniques and equipment into team practices as appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills

· A minimum of 5 years' experience in cleaning operations or facility management, with proven leadership and multi-site management skills.

· Strong understanding of WHS regulations, industry best practices, and ISO management systems.

· Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach to team training, client interactions, and operational problem-solving.

· Proficient in using digital tools for scheduling, task tracking, and equipment management.

· Familiarity with various types of cleaning gear and willingness to learn new cleaning technologies.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and drive-up selling opportunities.

· Adaptable to flexible hours and able to attend site-based requirements beyond standard business hours when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 36 months

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
