About the Role
We’re looking for kind-hearted, community-minded Companion & Support Drivers to join our team at Driving Miss Daisy Buderim. If you have experience in support work, aged care, disability services, or community transport – or you just love people and want to make a difference – this could be the perfect role for you.
This isn’t just a “driving job.” You will be helping clients feel comfortable, safe, and cared for – building genuine connections along the way. You’ll be using one of our company vehicles, working flexible hours, and enjoying a role that’s as rewarding as it is varied.
What You Will Be Doing
* Providing safe, courteous, and professional transport and support for clients
* Offering a helping hand with mobility aids (like walkers or light wheelchairs) and luggage – and sometimes even a little “fur baby” in the back seat
* Offering social support and companionship tailored to each client
* Driving both short and long distances, including occasional city trips during peak times
* Keeping in touch with the scheduling team so everything runs smoothly
* Carrying out simple vehicle checks and keeping your car neat, tidy, and welcoming
* Representing Driving Miss Daisy with warmth, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude
What We Are Looking For
Location: Sunshine Coast - Some who lives around the areas of Buderim, Maroochydore, Coolum Beach & Peregian Springs (ideally within 20km of these areas)
* A current driver’s licence with full or close-to-full demerit points
* Flexibility for some early mornings and occasional split shifts
* Industry driving licence preferred – or willing to obtain
* Yellow Card (QLD Disability Workers Screening) and Blue Card (Working with Children Clearance) – or willing to obtain
* First Aid & CPR – or willing to obtain
* Able to pass a National Police Check
* Confident driving in varied traffic conditions, including city and long-distance trips
* Good organisational skills and time management
* Friendly, patient, and empathetic nature with great communication skills
* Comfortable using technology for navigation and simple record keeping
