As a Retail Assistant/Outside Services Attendant, you will ensure the smooth operation of front-of-house duties and the outside components of golf operations, with a focus on golf cart fleet management, Pro Shop services, and maintaining retail cleanliness and upkeep. The role requires 20 - 25 hours per week, including weekend work (essential) with flexible hours; work opening and closing shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Member & Guest Service: Welcome players on arrival, process check-ins for social and competition rounds, provide information on course conditions, competitions, and upcoming events.
* Point of Sale Operations: Accurately handle sales of green fees, competition fees, memberships, and golf merchandise using the POS system.
* Opening & Closing Duties: Ensure the Pro Shop is ready for trade each day, including float preparation, merchandising, and end-of-day balancing and lock-up.
* Golf Cart Management: Assist in preparing, staging, and cleaning golf carts before and after play, ensuring they are safe, charged, and well-presented.
* Operational Support: Assist in starting groups on time, monitoring pace of play, and coordinating with the outside services team to maintain smooth operations.
* Presentation & Stock: Maintain a tidy Pro Shop environment, assist with restocking, merchandising, and inventory checks.
* General Club Support: Provide frontline assistance for member queries, contribute to a welcoming Club environment, and support the golf team during peak times and events.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or golf operations is an advantage.
* Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly approach.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and within a team.
* Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
* A genuine interest in golf is preferred but not essential.
