Join us as a Community Gardener and shape your future and ours. You will be responsible for delivering high quality gardening services to Helping Hand clients within their homes, supporting their independence and right of choice. The Gardener works independently and without direct supervision, communicating frequently with Service Delivery Rostering Officers and Coordinators to schedule work and discuss client needs.
Responsibilities
* Providing a range of gardening services to meet the needs of clients and support their independence, dignity and choice.
* Delivering services that are connected, personalised, considerate and caring, in line with Helping Hand's service ethos.
* Participating in workplace meetings and programs, e.g. safety meetings, team meetings, forums and organised program activities.
* Ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and submitted within the required timeframes (timesheets, leave forms, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum two years' experience in general gardening tasks.
* Availability of 30 hours per week between Monday to Friday.
* Access to your own vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
* Proven ability to work independently under limited supervision.
* Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred
* Understanding of aged care.
* Provide and maintain own equipment for gardening tasks.
* Certificate II or Certificate III in horticulture (desirable).
