An exceptional opportunity exists for a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Allied Health Lead to combine advanced psychological assessment and treatment with high-level supervision, consultation, and multidisciplinary leadership within a highly specialised paediatric and youth service supporting trans and gender diverse children and young people.

This role offers genuine scope to influence clinical standards, strengthen workforce capability, and contribute to service innovation within an evolving and values-driven area of healthcare.

Working autonomously within a specialist service, you will champion evidence-based, trauma-informed, and affirming care, ensuring practice aligns with professional, ethical, and organisational standards.

What You'll Be Doing?

In This Role, You Will

Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnosis, and treatment, including gender dysphoria assessmentLead evidence-based individual and group interventions and evaluate therapeutic outcomesExercise independent clinical judgement in complex presentationsProvide clinical supervision, mentorship, and consultation to psychologists and allied health cliniciansSupport reflective practice and guide clinicians managing complex care needsContribute to and lead research, evaluation, and quality improvement initiativesInfluence service development and strategic planning at district and state levelsModel professional behaviours aligned with organisational values, codes of conduct, and excellence frameworks

What You'll Bring

You are an experienced and values-driven Clinical Psychologist with demonstrated leadership capability and a strong commitment to inclusive, affirming care for trans and gender diverse young people.

Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia websiteAdvanced clinical expertise and sound diagnostic skillsExperience supervising and supporting cliniciansClear, compassionate, and confident communicationStrong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving abilitiesA collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamworkA reflective and evidence-informed practice style
