MedicalJobsAustralia.com Details The Youth Hospital in the Home (YHiTH) team is part of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in NorthWest Tasmania. Based in Devonport, this multidisciplinary team provides intensive, homebased mental health care for young people aged 16–24.
Their work addresses a critical service gap in the region by offering timely mental health support outside of hospital settings. The Position Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum.
Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Be part of a multidisciplinary youth mental health service (16-25 years of age) delivering high quality mental health care and, in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies. You will need to: Provide clinical expertise in contemporary nursing practice within the Y-HiTH setting, promoting professional standards of practice and an environment conducive to innovation and change that promotes best practice and meets established accreditation standards of practice.
Maintain and display advanced clinical practice skills within the Y-HiTH and act as a resource person to other members of the multidisciplinary team in the management of complex clinical issues. Provide recovery focused specialist mental health assessments and intensive home-based care, using recognised assessment methods and evidence-based interventions, for young people and their families/significant others of the Y-HiTH.
