About the role
Baker Hydraulics Pty Ltd is seeking full-time CNC Machinist / Operators to join our team in Edwardstown, South Australia. As a CNC Machinist / Operator, you will be responsible for operating various CNC machines to manufacture high-quality hydraulic and engineering components. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing company and contribute to the production of critical industry parts.
What you'll be doing
1. Set up, operate and monitor CNC machines to manufacture parts to precise specifications
2. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines
3. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
4. Collaborate with the production team to optimise processes and improve efficiency
5. Maintain detailed records of production activities
6. Work safely and adhere to all company policies and procedures
What we're looking for
1. Relevant trade qualification or minimum 3-5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist / Operator
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
3. Skilled in programming, setting up and operating a range of CNC machines desirable
4. Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
7. Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
8. Experience with CNC controllers (Mazatrol preferred)
9. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, callipers, dial indicators)
10. Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights
