MGM Bulk Pty Ltd (MGM) is a family-owned and operated private company with over 60 years of experience within the bulk haulage industry. We service mining companies that require bulk haulage, storage, ship loading, and stockpile management services from branches located across Western Australia.
Due to growth at our Northwest Branch, we are looking for two qualified (TAE 40122 or TAE 40116) Training and Onboarding Coordinators on an 8/6 roster to support our Northwest Operations Team.
We are offering the opportunity for experienced individuals to develop their Learning & Development careers within an existing and supportive HSECQ team in a business that is growing from strength to strength.
Supported by the Learning & Development Manager in unison with the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for onboarding our newest employees, delivering induction, and training programmes, ensuring VOC process is up to date and supporting our employees in their ongoing development while safeguarding HSECQ standards and company compliance levels.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver induction and training programs in accordance with MGM Bulk internal Learning & Development Plan and external client specifications.
- Manage the onboarding process, tools, templates, kits, materials, and equipment to ensure a seamless and consistent new employee experience using in-house training facilities and equipment required to do so.
- Liaise with HR to ensure all new employee recruitment and onboarding information has been received prior to commencing induction and training on site.
- In consultation with the HSEQ team, ensure new employee breath and urine drug and alcohol tests are completed and associated documentation is recorded and appropriately recorded.
- In consultation with the Branch Manager and HSEQ team ensure new employees are provided with appropriate PPE at commencement of the employee contract.
- Ensure ongoing support to employees while providing feedback on new employee progress and performance at 15,30 and 60-day checkpoints to all relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct briefings and training across various topics as required in accordance with the MGM Learning and Development Plan.
- In consultation with Fleet Supervisors, coordinate driver training and assessment schedules
- Verify Driver and Driver Trainer competency including (but not limited to) Main Roads Western Australia stipulations regarding dimension and loading, maintenance, mass management and fatigue management ensuring all documentation is updated and stored to expected MGM Standards.
- Carry out training and verification of competency for equipment operation including but not limited to commercial vehicles, trailing equipment operation, forklifts, and Front-End Loaders
- Regularly participate in toolbox meetings and other meetings as required.
- Review and report all certification and compliance related renewal requirements prior to expiry.
- Provide feedback identifying continuous improvement opportunities associated with the Training and Onboarding process to the Learning & Development Manager.

Skills and Experience:
- Must hold a current Certificate IV (4) in Training and Assessment-equivalent to the requirements of TAE40116 or the latest TAE40122 certification.
- General understanding of OHS (ISO45001), QA (ISO9001) and Environmental (ISO14001) management systems.
- Ability to work to and manage the full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
- Sound knowledge and experience in the delivery of competency-based training and assessment
- Excellent communication, organisational, analytical and computer skills
- Existing knowledge of the transport industry
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
