OverviewPermanent full-time role: Teacher - Science at John Tonkin College, Mandurah, Western Australia, within the Department of Education, WA.
This position commences Term 1, 2026.This role is advertised as part of a recruitment pilot to simplify the application process for teachers.

Find out more about our school at RoleJohn Tonkin College is seeking to appoint a dedicated, innovative and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team.
The successful applicant should have high expectations, and display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment.
You should be flexible, adaptive, and able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.
You will ideally also be able to incorporate current and emerging technologies to best meet the needs of our students based on researched informed practice.
The successful applicant should possess an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Years 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner.
We are ideally seeking a teacher who is passionate about teaching the Science program to both lower school and senior school students.
