UNDERWRITER – PERSONAL INJURY – MULTIPLE LOCATION (MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT)

The role
The primary purpose of this role is to underwrite business (broker or direct) in accordance with Allianz Underwriting Framework and Strategy, operating within delegated authority levels and providing quotations to achieve targets for new business and renewals, while considering customer needs and circumstances.
Eligible locations: ACT, NT, WA or Tasmania.
Responsibilities
* Effectively manage workflows (new business, renewals, arrears, etc.) to ensure high‐quality underwriting and service.
* Ensure underwritten policies meet all compliance and portfolio requirements.
* Manage relationships across a designated portfolio, focusing on underwriting within delegated authority limits.
* Anticipate and provide solutions to customers' needs from available information, designing sustainable responses suited to their circumstances.
* Maximise retention of preferred accounts and conduct timely renewal reviews in collaboration with internal stakeholders through strategy meetings.
Qualifications and skills
* Experience in an underwriting or broking role and familiarity with the workers' compensation environment.
* Strong planning and prioritisation abilities; skillful in organising tasks and managing competing resources and demands.
* Demonstrated enthusiasm for optimising business value to customers by delivering high‐quality services and positive customer experiences.
* Proven analytical and critical‐thinking skills to interpret data, identify patterns and trends, and inform judgments and solutions.
* Excellent attention to detail, completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy, and quickly identifying errors or inconsistencies.
* A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
