The team you will join contributes to maintaining and preserving Mackay Regional Council's Park assets by undertaking basic gardening, landscape improvements and general maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrated experience and expertise in mowing and operating small plant equipment, including tractors, mowers, chainsaws, mulchers, brush cutters, chippers, blower vacs.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and strong attention to detail with ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Safety as a high priority when operating plant and equipment and take pride in their work.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
* General Construction Induction Training
* QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent
* Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
* Qualifications and/or experience in Horticulture/Arboriculture will be highly desirable.
* Experience in the operation and maintenance of large ride‑on mowers, whipper snippers and small plant including power tools and equipment used for general maintenance tasks.

* Base annual salary of $64,517.00 - $67,054.26 + allowance as applicable (level offered will be dependent on successful candidates' qualification and experience)
