The Clinician – Care Department is a senior clinical role responsible for providing clinical supervision and guidance to team leaders and care partners who deliver care management within the home care sector. This position ensures that team leaders and care partners are empowered to provide high-quality, client-centred care while adhering to clinical standards, regulatory requirements and organisational policies. The Clinician will be an integral part of the leadership team, supporting the professional development of team leaders and care partners, ensuring best practices in care management, and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

The Clinician will ensure that team leaders and care partners are equipped to effectively manage care plans, escalate clinical concerns as necessary, and maintain a focus on safety, compliance and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

* Provide clinical supervision and guidance to team leaders and care partners, ensuring care delivery aligns with best practice, legislation and organisational standards.
* Act as a point of escalation for complex clinical issues, supporting effective clinical decision-making and risk management.
* Manage clinical incidents and near misses in partnership with the Clinical Governance Team, ensuring timely reporting, SIRS compliance, and a focus on learning and prevention.
* Support team leaders and care partners through training, mentorship and ongoing professional development.
* Ensure compliance with aged care legislation, quality standards and internal policies, offering expert advice on clinical quality and governance.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external providers and multidisciplinary partners to support coordinated, high-quality care.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute clinical insights that enhance client outcomes and care management practice.

What You'll Bring

* Tertiary qualification in healthcare (e.g., Nursing, Allied Health, or similar) and current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
* At least 2 years' clinical experience, preferably within aged care, home care, or community health.
* Experience supervising or mentoring clinical or care teams (home care experience highly regarded).
* A proven ability to deliver high-quality clinical care and manage complex cases with sound judgement.
* Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, supported by excellent communication and the ability to deliver clear guidance and feedback.
* Confident leadership and mentoring capability, with a commitment to supporting the growth and development of others.
* In-depth understanding of aged care legislation, clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
* Well-developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret clinical data and drive improvements in care quality and safety.
* High-level problem-solving, critical thinking and conflict-resolution skills, with a calm and considered approach.
