**What you'll be doing**
As a Biomedical electronic technician providing equipment maintenance and technical support for the Biomedical Engineering Department you will also be required to:
- Serve hospitals within the Western Sydney Local Health District and private clients.
- Perform routine electrical safety testing and calibration of medical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and mandatory legislation.

**Essential Criteria**:
- Qualification: Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification appropriate to the position.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Possess an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification appropriate to the position.
- Demonstrated high level of fault finding skills with electronic circuits especially surface mount devices. Be able to diagnose and repair to component level. Good soldering/desoldering techniques.
- Be technically competent and have good knowledge of both analogue and digital electronics as applied to medical and electronic laboratory equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be capable of working with mínimal supervision.
- Advanced interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with an ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as nursing, medical and administrative staff and suppliers of services and components to the hospital.
- Ability to adhere to a quality system and perform administrative duties with thoroughness including a good understanding of the importance of safe work practices, with an ability to ensure their own and co-workers safety by adopting safe working practices and compliance with WH&S policies and procedures.
- Current Drivers Licence valid in Australia.
