Please visit our website: DescriptionIn this full-time permanent role, the Associate Director, Bid and Business Generation will play a pivotal role driving the growth of Turner & Townsend's Real Estate business in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Responsible for overseeing bidding across our Real Estate division, the successful candidate will have bid strategy, coaching, and hands-on experience in delivering high quality, compelling bid responses and sales documents.As an Associate Director, this position will influence, constructively challenge, and work with diverse senior stakeholders across Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand. They will have gravitas and thrive when operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, working with a growth mindset focused on achieving outcomes. The successful candidate will lead a team of three Business Generation professionals and work closely with leadership of Business Generation and Real Estate.Responsibilities For The Role IncludeBid Strategy and Execution:Reviewing procurement documentation, leading bid go/no go discussions and formulating clear bid plans for delivering a compelling offer.Leading the strategic approach and execution of high-quality multi-million-dollar proposals, tenders, bid responses, and supporting sales documentation.Adopting a client-centric view to support development of differentiators, win themes, and messaging that clearly explains our offer and 'why Turner & Townsend'.Mobilising and motivating internal stakeholders to ensure that deadlines are met, and that bids are submitted on time and in the correct manner.Providing constructive feedback and challenge to senior leadership and partner organisations throughout the bid and interview process.Supporting the preparation of other deliverables related to conversion and work winning, such as interview presentation coaching and procurement team engagement.Understanding, supporting, and advocating for the Turner & Townsend 'bid to win' methodology and governance requirements.Supporting the development of systems & tools which aid bid development and efficiencies.Contributing to content libraries by capturing value adds, case studies, and testimonials.Monitoring pipelines and routes to market to anticipate procurement activities and support early preparation.Developing and/or supporting capability build and training aligned to bidding and proposals.Enabling a client-focused culture:Working closely with the Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand real estate teams to support execution of client and sector plans and associated positioning activities.Working with the marketing team on market events that support client engagement.Providing best practice tools and coaching that support client and market engagement.Supporting pipeline growth:Working closely with leaders to ensure visibility of an accurate, long-term pipeline of future work and targets.Researching and analysing clients/targets and market trends to identify new revenue-generating opportunities.Additional responsibilities:Preparing regular non-financial reports for internal audiences and/or clients.Supporting global client enablement programmes to enhance client engagement.Line managing a team of three bid professionals.QualificationsTo be successful in your application, we are looking for somebody who has:Full Australian working rights. While we'd prefer somebody located in Melbourne, we are also open to Sydney and Brisbane.At least 12 years of experience in business development, marketing, and bidding within a professional services environment, ideally within the built environment.A relevant degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and APMP qualifications are highly advantageous.Proven experience in delivering winning bids and proposals.Proven experience in leading and managing teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills.The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.Excellent stakeholder management and engagement, specifically with those at Board-level.High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.A passion for working in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to deal with uncertainty.Additional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
