Job Role Overview
As a skilled Rigger/Scaffolder, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures to provide work platforms or temporary structures such as walkways.
Key Responsibilities:
* Erect and dismantle prefabricated scaffolding to facilitate maintenance and modification activities
* Check levels in scaffolding structures to ensure stability and safety
* Prepare safety nets and static lines to prevent accidents
* Dismantle scaffolding no longer required to maintain a safe working environment
* Attach lifting devices to hoisting equipment and items to be moved using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots
* Select slings and other grappling devices, covering sharp corners with padding to prevent damage
* Guide the Crane Operator by using hang signals or two-way radio when the load is not visible
* Alert people or objects which may come into the path of the moving load
* Inspect chains, slings, ropes, cables, hooks, and lifting gear for flaws and damage
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Intermediate or Advanced Scaffolding and Rigging qualification
* 5 years minimum experience as a Scaffolder, preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry
* Familiarity with erection and disassembly of scaffolding structures required for maintenance and modification activities
* Qualified in correct rigging necessary for structural steel, prefabricated piping spools, temporary facilities, and pipe fittings and valves
* Trade Qualified
* Experience in general fabrication welding and machine shop practices
* Fixed Plant maintenance and tolerant critical installations experience
* Interpretation of P&IDs, Isometrics, and Electrical Schematics
* Experienced with Permit to Work and LOTO procedures
* Computer literate
* EWP High Risk Work license preferred
