Cadet Sales Estimator
We are seeking a full-time position to join our Loganholme team. This opportunity will put the successful applicant onto a succession plan to become a skilled Sales Estimator with Simonds Homes. You'll be provided with on the job training and mentoring from some of the best Estimating professionals in the industry to support you on this journey.
Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders, variations and contracts within client agreed timeframes.
* Maintain focus on client's needs, expectations and desired outcomes.
* Collaborate and consult with the sales, operations and construction team to help deliver exceptional customer service across all aspects of the home build.
* Assist in providing accurate pricing for contracts and variations.
* Analyse project documentation to determine if all elements are included.
* Obtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variations.
* Help identify potential areas of risk in a project.
* Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work.
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for someone with a desire to grow as a Sales Estimator in the residential building industry. While not essential, having studied or currently studying a tertiary/TAFE qualification in estimating is highly desired.
Basic knowledge of the National Construction Code is a bonus, along with strong analytical skills and the capability to interpret technical drawings. You should be able to actively contribute and work collaboratively within a tight-knit team.
You will need the capacity to multi-task and approach your work with flexibility and adaptability. High attention to detail, planning, organisational, and time management skills are also highly valued.
Above all, you must bring the willingness and energy to embrace and enhance the team spirit within the operations department.
