An exciting opportunity has opened up within our growing Professional Services practice for a passionate and motivated Network Consultant.
In this role, you will be responsible for analysing requirements, producing solution designs, implementing and troubleshooting Enterprise and Data Centre solutions.
What will I be doing?
The Network Consultant will:
- Work within a highly collaborative team of passionate, like-minded professionals;
- Deliver Enterprise and Data Centre solutions, including:
* Enterprise Networking, including WAN, LAN, and Data Centre
* Software Defined Data Centre (Nexus, ACI, EVPN VXLAN)
* Software Defined Networks
* Advanced Wireless Networking
* Next Generation Network Security
* Identity and Access Control (802.1X, ClearPass / ISE)
- Document proposed and implemented solutions;
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, applying a customer-focused approach;
- Contribute to presales and solution shaping, including technical input into proposals; and
- Step into complex environments and stabilise / uplift networks.
What experience will I need?
The Network Consultant will have:
- Strong hands-on experience across:
* Cisco and/or Aruba routing, switching, and wireless;
* Enterprise network security (Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar); and
* Identity-based networking (802.1X, NAC, ClearPass or ISE).
* Core network refreshes and migrations;
* Large-scale wireless deployments; and
* Secure access and segmentation solutions.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a customer facing, technical role;
- The ability to work autonomously or in small teams to complete client outcomes;
- Experience in conducting client workshops with all levels of stakeholders;
- In-depth knowledge of network systems and standards;
- Excellent documentation skills; and Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The following experience will also be highly regarded:
- Collaboration Solutions (Cisco Webex & Microsoft Teams);
- Knowledge of public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms and technologies (Azure/AWS);
- Experience with network scripting (TCL, Perl, Python);
- Experience with other network and security vendors (Palo Alto, Citrix, F5, Dell, & Fortinet); and
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
What Key Qualifications, Certifications & Training will I need?
The Network Consultant will have:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related discipline is desirable;
- Hold or be willing to obtain current Vendor Network Technologies Certifications (ie. Cisco, Aruba and Palo Alto); and
- Hold a Current Australian Department of Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
