Assistant Deputy Director of Operations and Nursing
Alfred Health is a leading tertiary teaching hospital in Melbourne, Victoria.
The Surgical Services program delivers the majority of surgical services across all Alfred Health sites. The program consists of surgical units, anesthesia and perioperative medicine, operating suite service, two elective surgical inpatient wards, a medical day unit, day of surgery admissions, day surgery and endoscopy service.
The Assistant Deputy Director of Operations and Nursing - Quality & Safety, Wards and Workforce will be a nurse with operational responsibility for the effective delivery of services within the applicable program. This position will manage a component of the program's activities and works with the Program leadership team to ensure that the program consistently delivers high quality, cost-effective services for its patients.
The Assistant Deputy Director of Operations and Nursing - Quality & Safety, Wards and Workforce will provide strategic nursing leadership to consistently deliver a high-quality, evidence-based and cost-effective nursing service for patients.
About you:
* Essential requirements include being a registered nurse with tertiary qualification in healthcare and meeting registration requirements with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Desirable qualifications include holding or working towards a Master's degree in healthcare or business management and having experience in nursing management and an understanding of health services and service delivery objectives.
