Austal Ships is seeking a Production Engineer – Fabrication to provide technical shipbuilding support for structural and outfitting activities to Austal Ships Production organisation to ensure the successful execution of Design Authority engineering intent.

What's Involved
* Support engineering activities across shipbuilding projects, from design through steel fabrication, assembly, unit/block movement, erection, outfitting, HVAC and equipment installation
* Support the definition of production scope and development of work packages
* Apply constructions standards, procedures, and process daily manufacturing oversight
* Collaborate with Quality and Accuracy Control teams to ensure compliance
* Contribute to risk identification within the production environment
You'll Need
* Structural Fabrication qualification with Shipbuilding/heavy construction experience
* 8+ years' experience in a Shipbuilding Fabrication role
* Understanding of structural fabrication, outfitting, HVAC and equipment installation
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate across multiple disciplines
* Competency in Microsoft Office suite
* Experience using CAD software
* Lean manufacturing software (desirable)
