Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with landholders to ensure timely management activities for Nativ Carbon projects and ensure management activities are appropriately monitored and evidence collected.
2. Manage interactions with different stakeholders with different backgrounds and experiences, with good inter-personal skills and adaptability to a range of circumstances.
3. Ensure a high level of data management.
4. Key role in Nativ Carbons record keeping management systems for maintaining project information and data.
5. Assist in the development of Management Plans and Offset Reports.
6. Stay up to date with relevant policy positions, regulatory requirements and guidance from the Clean Energy Regulator.
7. Work with Health, Safety, Security and Environment policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
8. Conduct field monitoring to quantify and characterize vegetation, including mature and regenerating vegetation as well as broad soil characterisation.
9. Work with others in the Nativ Carbon team to assist with planning, implementing and monitoring
The ideal candidate will have:
10. A tertiary qualification in the natural sciences, such as ecology, environmental science, natural resource management or agricultural science.
11. Knowledge and experience in effective techniques for revegetation with assisted natural regeneration, protection of regrowth, tree planting, drone or vehicle based direct seeding, regenerative agriculture and carbon farming.
12. Experience in analysing spatial data through mapping software and designing digital maps with geographic data and various other data sets
13. Experience in weed identification and mapping
14. Project and contract management skills
15. Ability to prepare budgets and monitor and manage financial performance
16. Experience in multi-disciplinary stakeholder management, such as facilitating effective partnerships with clients, farmers, subcontractors, suppliers and research bodies.
17. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to communicate findings and technical concepts to others.
