Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (Derbarl) is the largest and oldest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHO) in Western Australia, providing culturally secure primary health care to nearly 20,000 Aboriginal people across Whadjuk Noongar Boodja.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Paediatric Coordinator to lead and coordinate our multidisciplinary Paediatrics team, comprising Paediatricians, GPs, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and specialist clinicians.
This clinical leadership role is responsible for overseeing service delivery, team performance, clinical quality, operational coordination, and culturally safe care across Derbarl sites. You will play a key role in strengthening systems, improving outcomes for children and families, and supporting the ongoing growth of Derbarl's paediatric model of care. This will be a Full-time Maximum Term contract for a period of 24 months (with possibility of extension/permanency).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to a multidisciplinary paediatrics team.
* Coordinate and oversee paediatric service delivery, referrals, intake, waitlists and caseloads.
* Undertake clinical duties within scope, including complex case coordination and backfilling shifts when required.
* Lead operational planning, rostering, recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
* Drive quality improvement, risk management and clinical governance processes.
* Ensure accurate data collection, reporting and MBS compliance using Communicare and related systems.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams, community stakeholders and external agencies.
* Promote culturally secure, family-centred and trauma-informed care.
* Contribute to funding submissions, reporting and budget management in collaboration with the Line Manager.
About You
You are a strong clinical leader with a genuine commitment to Aboriginal health and community-controlled models of care. You bring both clinical expertise and operational confidence, and thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
* Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in developmental paediatrics or community health, ideally working with Aboriginal children and families.
* Demonstrated leadership or coordination experience within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
* Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Sound understanding of Aboriginal health, cultural safety and the ACCHO sector.
* High-level clinical and case management capability with complex paediatric clients.
* Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
* Knowledge of local Aboriginal communities and cultural protocols.
* Experience in trauma-informed developmental paediatrics.
* Experience using Communicare or similar clinical information systems.

* Current Working with Children Check.
* National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
* Valid WA Driver's Licence and willingness to travel.
* Successful pre-employment health assessment.
