**The Role**
**Position 1 - DRH - 638229 - Business Administration Officer**
APS5 Business Administration Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are required to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of, and compliance to, with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Perform complex tasks and activities, work to agreed priorities and outcomes that support the delivery of procedural, operational, administrative and business support activities across Defence;
- Invoice management and monitoring project spending, audit activities and financial support to the Directorate more broadly as required;
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback;
- Build and sustain relationships with team members, stakeholders, and actively participate in team work and group activities;
- Progress work to meet business objectives, recommend solutions for issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes and seek advice and guidance on more complex issues;
- Consolidate and analyse data and information, coordinate and assist in the preparation of written submissions, briefs, inquiry outcomes, corporate reports, minutes and other correspondence for Defence and external stakeholders.
**Position 2 - DRH - 115483 - Planning & Development Officer**
Program Management and Governance Branch within Service Delivery Division (SDD) has a unique and exciting opportunity for an APS 5 Administration Officer, within the Directorate of Relocations and Housing (DRH).
The Planning and Development Officer is a member of the Strategic Planning team within DRH responsible for one of the Commonwealth's largest housing portfolios. The Strategic Planning section develops the Defence Housing Forecast (DHF) and a range of comprehensive housing plans, monitors portfolio performance, and manages the delivery of major housing projects to assure ADF housing requirements now and into the future.
In this role, you will be required to deliver quality outcomes within agreed timelines. You will be responsible for data management, monitoring of a range of housing information, and providing advice to DRH staff in support of the Directorate's broader objectives. You will perform a variety of administrative, operational, and complex statistical tasks to assist planning and performance reporting. It is essential you are competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (particularly demonstrating competency in Excel). You will maintain records and filing systems, draft, edit, and format correspondence and other documents, and contribute to section research on housing and relocation matters.

Within the Administration function an APS5 Administration Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
An APS5 Administration Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the administration function based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessments and perform procedural, clerical, administrative support work to achieve results.
The APS5 Administration Officer may coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. They may be a team coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance. They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within a work unit.
