We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team at our Corowa Concrete Plant, located 45 minutes west of Albury.
The Concrete Batcher role offers excellent career development opportunities, including learning about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, batching, scheduling, and logistics within the construction industry. Additionally, you will have the chance to operate a truck to deliver products to customers. A valid HR license is required.
Responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant
2. Operating a front-end loader (FEL)
3. Interacting with customers, taking orders, and scheduling deliveries
4. Collaborating with other local plants to ensure positive outcomes for Heidelberg Materials Australia and customers
5. Demonstrating safety awareness and leadership potential
6. Ensuring all products meet strict quality standards
7. Monitoring plant and equipment, scheduling, and conducting maintenance as needed
8. Managing maintenance and production tasks, including manual handling
9. Delivering concrete to customers (HR license required)
Ideal candidate:
1. Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset and ability to work independently
2. Seeking a flexible roster including Saturday work and overtime
3. Holds a Heavy Rigid (HR) license
4. Experience operating a front-end loader
5. Interested in obtaining a Construction Card / White Card
6. Supports our Zero Harm safety policy
7. Physically capable of performing all job tasks

1. Monday – Friday schedule with start times around 5:00am/5:30am, averaging 8–10 hours per day, including rostered half-day Saturdays
2. 10-day training program on operating the agitator and slump concrete
