Adapt OT
Occupational Therapist
Posted: 19 November
Offer description

Adapt OT are looking for a new OT for our dynamic and highly skilled team.

One of our senior clinicians is taking an extended holiday in 2026 and we are seeking either a therapist with interest and experience to cover a complex caseload, or a less experienced OT to help us share the caseload across the team.

The successful applicant could elect a fixed term contract to cover the leave period (6-12 months) or take a permanent role within our team. Full time or part time candidates will be considered.

Adapt OT is a well-established Occupational Therapy private practice, based in Geelong, VIC. You would be joining our existing supportive team of 13 which includes 11 OT's, a therapy assistant and administration. Head to www.adaptot.com.au to learn more about us.

The fixed term option could be well suited to an experienced OT who may be intrigued about working in the private sector, someone planning their return to work after a period of leave, or an Australian traveller on a working holiday.

Alternatively, an early career clinician could join our team and continue to develop their skills and expertise with support and supervision from experienced clinicians.

What We’re Seeking

We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team for either a fixed term (leave cover) contract, or an ongoing permanent role.

The caseload attached to this leave cover position is comprised of neurological, spinal, amputee, and other clients with complex needs. The role includes scripting and problem-solving Assistive Technology, basic and complex home modifications, pressure care and manual handling input, functional capacity assessments and reporting. Support at Home clients may also form part of the caseload, and these clients typically require OT input for equipment prescription and home modifications.

If an applicant is keen to work in this space but doesn't yet have the expertise to take on the complex caseload we will reallocate clients among the team and ensure assigned caseload matches the applicants' skills and interest area.

The successful candidate will be someone who works autonomously, can effectively problem solve and collaborate and has identified their preferred area of Occupational Therapy to be working with adults in the disability and aged sectors.

- Adapt OT can accommodate full time or part time arrangements. We are seeking an OT who is available to work between 18 and 38 hours per week.
- Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience within a relevant clinical area
