**The Role**
The role of the Maintenance/Engineering Stores Coordinator at Hazeldene's is pivotal in maintaining an efficient goods receivable, purchasing, and control system within the Engineering Department at the Lockwood site. By overseeing the comprehensive processes for parts and equipment management, they aim to optimize resource utilization while adhering to cost, health, safety, and quality standards. Ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and efficient stock monitoring systems is paramount to meeting internal customer specifications. Additionally, a robust preventative maintenance program is integral to maximizing plant uptime and reliability. The Maintenance/Engineering Stores Coordinator has overall responsibility of all goods ordered and delivered to the Maintenance/Engineering Department. It is expected that the incumbent will drive productivity and proactively seek guidance and assistance on any of the below items as required.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and work orders accurately and within deadlines.
- Manage invoice authorization and credit processes according to company policies.
- Collaborate with Engineering Manager to identify and implement continuous improvement processes.
- Regularly review stock quantities, prices, and material usage to optimize resources.
- Negotiate favourable pricing and timely deliveries for operational needs.
- Maintain adequate stocking levels for critical spare parts.
- Support Engineering Team with general data entry tasks.
- Conduct quality audits within the Engineering Group and with QA team.
- Develop and maintain stock database for spare parts and materials.
- Manage parts and equipment references for easy identification and location.
- Stage proactive job packs and contribute to plant repair planning.
- Assist in developing and updating Quality documentation.
- Work autonomously to meet targets and delegate tasks efficiently.

**About you**
- A minimum of three year's experience in Store's Maintenance/Management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in negotiation of well-priced goods in a timely and quality manner to meet operational requirements.
- Awareness of the requirements of a production environment and the ability to perform duties consistent with those requirements.
- Sound understanding of, and commitment to, OH&S principles.
- Knowledge and support of continuous improvement principles.
- Basic computer operation and administrative skills.
- Sound understanding of the MEX system.
- Ability to plan workloads and delegate as required.
- An appropriate trade/stores qualification relevant to a maintenance, engineering or warehousing environment is preferred but is not essential.
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
