Job Role
As a Home Support Worker, you will have the rewarding opportunity to assist elderly individuals in achieving their goals and maximizing their independence. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing personal care and assistance with daily activities
* Supporting individuals in developing life skills and accessing community resources
* Building meaningful relationships based on trust, empathy, and dignity
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
* Promoting a safe and inclusive environment
Hours: Up to 25 guaranteed hours per week, Monday – Friday. Minimum 3 days a week, Monday – Wednesday, 9:00/10:00 am – 2:00/3:00 pm, plus evening shifts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support Work or Aged Care
- One year's experience in a similar role within Community or Residential Aged Care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound computer and technology skills (mobile app, GPS, key pay)
- Previous Residential Aged Care experience
- Current Motor Vehicle licence and a reliable insured car
- Experience working with clients who have dementia would be highly regarded
- Experience with supporting clients with self-administration of medication
