Network Engineer – Federal Government InfrastructureWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the sustainment, operation, and ongoing development of a highly complex Federal Government network environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of cutting-edge technologies, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of mission-critical ICT systems whilst working in a small and agile organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain secure, high-availability ICT networks across Departmental systems.Troubleshoot and respond to network incidents, implementing changes and preventative measures.Support planning, design, and delivery of network engineering solutions.Develop, document, and enforce network policies, procedures, and operating standards.Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability and service delivery.Contribute to network architecture planning and evaluate emerging Technologies for future adoption.Support disaster recovery strategies and oversee vendor partnerships to ensure effective service outcomes.Technical ExpertiseCisco - Routers & Switches – Configuration, deployment, and managementPalo Alto / Fortinet - FirewallsExperience with SD-WAN, and routing protocols.Industry certifications highly regarded: CCNA, CCNP etc.About YouExperience working with Federal Government network environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage incidents and deliver long-term solutionsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsA collaborative, proactive approach with a focus on service delivery and innovationActive NV1 clearanceBenefits to youLong term contract within a reputable and high profile government departmentWorking on high availability and multilevel secure networks and public facing systemsAbility to work in a highly diverse and unique stakeholder environmentGreat location, cafes and parking options within walking distanceAccess to Emanates Contractor Benefits
