**The Role**
If you are an experienced EL 1 Procurement Adviser with government experience looking for a labour hire contract or are currently in the APS and looking to make a change, this might be the role for you!
**Duties**:
- Providing sound and accurate procurement, tendering and contracting advice and compliance reviews
- Reviewing procurement documents and providing advice at key stages in the procurement process
- Conducting complex and sensitive procurements
- Providing procurement training and advice on Finance Systems (Technology One)
- Engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders, including managing relationships, building and maintaining networks
- Managing, mentoring and training staff
- Making decisions based on sound professional judgement, in consideration of the risks and which are easily defensible
- Promoting compliance with procurement policies, connected policies and legislation i.e. Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Indigenous Procurement Policy, Indigenous Procurement Strategy & Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA) etc.
- Lead procurement projects, such as the Centre of Procurement Excellence Project and other projects as required
- Keep up to date with industry and procurement updates from Department of Finance and other key agencies
- Engage and collaborate with other agencies
