About the Opportunity
Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking a passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 – Palliative Care to join our rural health team across Corowa, Henty, Holbrook, Lockhart and Culcairn region.
In this role you will:
* Deliver advanced clinical nursing care and complex assessments for patients requiring palliative support
* Develop and evaluate comprehensive care plans with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
* Provide expert clinical consultation, education and mentorship to staff
* Promote evidence-based practice, learning and continuous service improvement
* Act as a professional role model and advocate for patients and families
* Contribute to clinical policy, procedure and service development

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
* Relevant clinical experience in palliative care or complex care environments, with demonstrated evidence of relevant post graduate qualification, or ability to obtain qualification within 2 years, of commencement date.
* Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to multidisciplinary teams
* Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills
