About The Role
The Rehabilitation Unit at John Flynn Hospital offers private rooms across two floors, a well-equipped gym, and activities area. We provide comprehensive in-patient programs including neurological, falls prevention, orthopaedic, reconditioning, and amputee specialties. Our multidisciplinary approach involves patients, families, team members, and allied health professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
We seek Clinical Nurses excited to be Team Leaders responsible for floor management under the indirect supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager. This role involves daily clinical problem solving and fostering a positive, supportive culture.
About You
You are an experienced nurse with strong clinical and problem-solving skills, capable of coordinating care, leading a team, and providing expert advice in your specialty area. You will demonstrate:
* Current registration with AHPRA
* Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in a Rehabilitation or Acute Unit
* Previous team leadership experience in a similar setting
* Strong leadership and delegation skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Remuneration
Base hourly rate ranges from $54.72 to $58.82 plus superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications. This is for QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2, grades 1-4, excluding penalties or allowances.
