**The Role**
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Business and Governance Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Business and Governance Manager you will work within a team to support and deliver business outcomes to Future Air Combat Systems Program Office (FACSPO). Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate administrative and business support activities for a team and other work areas, identify risks and determine appropriate course of action to meet stakeholder needs.
- Accountable to perform complex procedural, operational, administrative and business and governance support activities and tasks that support the delivery of outcomes across Defence.
- Engage and negotiate with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes.
- Work collaboratively, build and sustain effective relationships and provide constructive feedback.
- Take the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, provide advice and guidance on more complex issues.
- Resolve problems and implement alternative courses of action.
- Accountable to develop and implement procedural, operational, corporate, administrative and business support documentation consistent with business requirements.
**About our Team**
FACSPO is an integrated ADF/APS/Contractor environment, located at Brindabella Business Park in Canberra, ACT. We offer a flexible, engaging and supportive work environment that focuses on development and support of its employees. The Aerospace Combat Systems Branch established the Future Air Combat Systems Project Office (FACSPO) in 2020. FACSPO is responsible for collaborating closely with Air Force Headquarters to progress major air combat acquisition projects through to government approvals and then successfully transitioning projects to the appropriate capability delivery organisations. FACSPO currently manages projects that involve the Joint Strike Fighter, Advanced Growler, Ghost Bat, Joint Terminal Air Controller (JTAC), hypersonic systems and more exciting projects are due to be on-boarded in the near future. FACSPO operates within the principles of the CASG Balanced Matrix structure in order to ensure our workforce is optimally agile to deliver our future acquisition program of work.
